Repeal188.com is operated for the Massachusetts effort to suspend and repeal Chapter 188 of the Acts of 2026. This policy explains the information the website collects and how it is handled.
Information you choose to provide
We collect information that you submit through the website. Depending on the form, this may include your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, city or town, ZIP code, preferred contact method, volunteer interests, availability, comments, organization information, proposed petition-location information, and your choices about receiving email or text updates.
Contact-form messages, volunteer submissions, and signing-location applications are stored in the website’s administrative database and may also be delivered to authorized campaign recipients by email. A signing-location application may include public-facing telephone, email, address, website, hours, accessibility, and instruction fields. That information is not intended to appear publicly until the location has been reviewed and activated by an administrator.
Information collected during ordinary website use
The website, its hosting provider, security provider, and email systems may process standard technical information such as an IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referring pages, and date and time. The website also uses limited one-way hashed identifiers and short-lived records to prevent spam, abuse, and repeated form submissions. ZIP-code searches and map or directions requests may be included in ordinary server or third-party service logs.

Email and text communications
Submitting a form does not automatically enroll you in every campaign communication. We use the email-update and text-message choices recorded with a volunteer submission when those choices are offered. Message and data rates may apply to text messages. You may ask to stop receiving campaign email or text communications at any time by using the instructions in the message or contacting the campaign.
Cookies and similar technology
The public website may use cookies or similar local technology that is necessary for security, form operation, accessibility, preferences, or other core functions. WordPress also uses authentication and preference cookies for authorized administrators. Embedded maps, videos, social content, or other third-party features may use their own technology and are governed by the provider’s policies. See the Cookie Policy for additional information.
Service providers and disclosure
We may disclose information to vendors that provide website hosting, content delivery, security, mapping, email delivery, data storage, technical support, or similar services on our behalf. Authorized administrators may archive or delete records when they are no longer needed. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
You may contact the campaign to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you submitted. We will respond as reasonably practicable, subject to identity verification and any legal, security, archival, or recordkeeping obligations. You may also request that public location contact information be corrected or removed.
Children’s privacy
The website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13 through the campaign forms.
External links and embedded services
The website links to government sources and other third-party websites and may embed third-party content. Those services control their own privacy practices. A link or embed does not make Repeal188.com responsible for the third party’s handling of information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the campaign, website, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
